As our diocese rejoices on the World Day for Consecrated Life this year, we celebrate the tremendous witness of the men and women who have opened their hearts and offered their lives to God and his people as religious sisters, priests and brothers. We give thanks and lift up prayers for the more than 200 consecrated men and women in our diocese. We are grateful for their commitment to live faithfully the vows of poverty, chastity and obedience, as well as for their deep prayer lives and service in ministry.

We also pray for the 53 men and women from the Diocese of Arlington currently in formation and discernment with religious orders, that God would guide them and lead them in that process.

May Our Lord bless all consecrated religious for their most generous “yes,” and may he continue to bless our diocese by calling more of his faithful to embrace a vocation to the consecrated life.
