Eight bishops concelebrated
Mass at the Cathedral of St. Thomas More in Arlington March 18.

The bishops of Arlington, Richmond, Baltimore, and Wheeling-Charleston
had gathered for a Baltimore provincial meeting in Arlington. Bishop Michael F.
Burbidge invited the bishops in attendance to concelebrate Mass at the
Cathedral of St. Thomas More.

The dioceses of Arlington, Richmond, Baltimore, Wheeling-Charleston,
and Wilmington are all part of the Ecclesiastical Province of Baltimore.

Archbishop William E. Lori of the Archdiocese of Baltimore was
the principal celebrant and homilist at Mass, which was attended largely by St.
Thomas More Cathedral School students.

Those in attendance included Baltimore Auxiliary Bishop
Denis J. Madden; Baltimore Auxiliary Bishop Adam J. Parker; Arlington Bishop
Michael F. Burbidge; Arlington Bishop Emeritus Paul S. Loverde; Baltimore
Archbishop William E. Lori; Wheeling-Charleston, W.Va., Bishop Mark E. Brennan;
Baltimore Auxiliary Bishop Bruce A. Lewandowski, C.Ss.R.; and Richmond Bishop
Barry C. Knestout.
