Parishioners received a jump start on their holiday shopping with the help of Christmas bazaars across the diocese. Here are just a few recent “shopportunities.”
St. Leo the Great Church in Fairfax held its annual craft fair Dec. 8, featuring homemade wood crafts from pastor Father Juan A. Puigbó. Shoppers looking for items with glam stopped by a Christmas boutique at St. Agnes Church in Arlington Dec. 8. Meanwhile in Alexandria, Queen of Apostles Church offered a variety of jewelry and other gifts at its holiday bazaar after all morning Masses, and at St. Rita Church, parents shopped for homemade gifts and treats while their kids paid a visit to St. Nicholas, portrayed by Father Nicholas J. Schierer, parochial vicar.
St. Joseph Church in Alexandria hosted its Christmas bazaar Dec. 7. The same day, a Christmas band serenaded shoppers at the annual Christmas market at Our Lady of Hope Church in Potomac Falls.
Just before the first Sunday of Advent, St. John the Beloved Church in McLean held its 45th annual Christmas bazaar Nov. 23, with religious paintings and holiday treats alike.
