Dominican Brother Paul Dominic Marich, who taught at Saint John Paul the Great Catholic High School in Potomac Shores, professed solemn vows Aug. 7 at the Priory of the Immaculate Conception in Washington.
Brother Paul grew up in Ohio and graduated from the Franciscan University of Steubenville in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and political science. He earned a master’s in theology in 2012, and a licentiate in sacred theology and a master of divinity this year from the Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception in Washington.
He taught religion, bioethics and social studies at John Paul the Great from 2013 to 2017; he was a parishioner of Our Lady of Angels Church in Woodbridge; he taught religious education classes at St. Raymond of Peñafort Church in Springfield; and he participated in the Upper Room Theatre Ministry at All Saints Catholic Church in Manassas.
He entered the Dominican novitiate in 2017. He is preparing to be ordained a transitional deacon Sept. 4 at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington.
