A Eucharistic procession will be hosted by the Catholic Information Center, 1501 K St., N.W., Washington, May 20, 9:30 a.m.-noon. Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m., and the procession will start at 10:15 a.m.

The procession will move through Farragut Square, Lafayette Square and McPherson Square. There will be two altar prayer stations during the procession, including one near the Department of Veterans Affairs.

“It is with great joy that I announce the CIC’s first Eucharistic procession through the heart of downtown Washington,” said Fr. Charles Trullols, director of the Catholic Information Center, in a statement. “The CIC houses the closest tabernacle to the White House, and I have absolute faith in the many graces God will bestow onto our country when Christ’s real presence is carried through the streets of D.C. The procession will express our belief that Jesus is passing by and bestowing his love and help on all of us.”
