Arts/Theater Camps
Spotlight on the Arts Summer Camps
Spotlight on the Arts Summer Camps, a Catholic training center for theater and art, is hosting performing and visual arts camps July 8-19 at All Saints Catholic Church in Manassas and Nativity Catholic Church in Burke. Theater camps include a Broadway Spotlight for grades 4-12 and a Drama Bootcamp for grades 1-9. The two visual arts camp offerings will allow students to sculpt, paint and tie-dye. The instructors are Catholic and artistically accomplished.
TORCH Drama Club
The TORCH Drama, held at St. John the Evangelist Church in Warrenton, is hosting an acting workshop July 20 for students ages 12-14. TORCH is a drama ministry that allows students to grow in their talents in theater and teaches them how to live their faith on and offstage.

“Leap of Faith” from Nativity Players Theater Ministry
Nativity Players, the theater ministry at Nativity, will perform “Leap of Faith” July 18-20, 26 and 27. The musical, with music by Alan Menken, tells a tale of a man who is trying to amend his life and revive his faith. Buy tickets on the website, upperroomtheatreministry.org.
“Oklahoma!” from the Summer Theatre Program
Summer Theatre Program, a ministry co-sponsored by St. Bernadette Church in Springfield and Bishop Ireton High School in Alexandria, will perform the classic musical “Oklahoma!” July 25-27 at Ireton. This show about the lives of cowboys and farmers features songs such as “Oh, What a Beautiful Morning.”
“Freaky Friday” from Upper Room Theatre Ministry
Upper Room Theatre Ministry in Manassas will perform the heartwarming musical “Freaky Friday,” at the All Saints Performing Arts Center in Manassas July 16-21, featuring top talent from Northern Virginia. Tickets are on sale on the website.
“Newsies: the Musical” from TORCH Drama Club
TORCH Drama Club will perform “Newsies: The Musical” June 21-30, featuring high schoolers performing a collection of complex music, dance and acting.
“Pippin” from Heart House Inclusive Productions Inc.
Heart House Inclusive Productions Inc. is performing the musical “Pippin” at the Ferlazzo Theatre in Woodbridge July 26-Aug. 4, including a sensory-friendly performance July 28. This classic musical chronicles the life of Pippin as he searches to find passion and adventure in life. Tickets can be found at hearthouseip.org/pippintickets.
Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School is a summer outreach program focused on giving children an interactive Bible experience. The camps, which will be held at several parishes, invites students to learn about their faith, play games and practice prayer. Check with your parish to see if they are holding VBS this summer.

Summer Camps
Contigo Youth Club: Camp Contigo June 24-Aug. 24
Camp Contigo is a summer camp at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Falls Church for students in grades 1-9 from the Seven Corners and Bailey’s Crossroads area. Students learn about faith, spend time in adoration, and participate in sports and games.
Summer at Sacred Heart (SASH) June 17-Aug. 2
Sacred Heart Church in Winchester is hosting Summer at Sacred Heart (SASH) for children ages 3-13 so students can grow in faith, make friends and learn. SASH is hosting more than 50 camp offerings, including pre-K camps, sports camps, arts camps and cooking camps.
St. Ambrose Camp in Annandale June 17-Aug. 2
St. Ambrose Church in Annandale is offering more than 45 camps for children ages 4-13 from 8 a.m. to noon with extended care available.
St. Anthony of Padua in Falls Church June 17-Aug. 2
St. Anthony of Padua in Falls Church is offering full- and half-day options for children in grades Pre-K-2. The parish is also offering standardized testing skills camp for students in grades 6-8.
Catholic High School Camps: St. John Paul the Great, St. Paul the VI, Bishop Ireton and Bishop O’Connell.
Bishop O’Connell, Bishop Ireton, St. John Paul the Great and St. Paul the VI are each hosting a wide variety of camps for students that include theater, tennis and lacrosse camps for teens.
