An American flag is now flying at the St. Rose of Lima Priests’
Retirement Villa thanks to the Father Malloy Assembly of Knights of Columbus.

The Knights presented the flag to the villa in a ceremony Sept.
27.

“I want to add my gratitude on behalf of the community of priests
who live here and staff for this wonderful display of patriotism that you
afford us that we may have our proud American flag flying in front of this
institution,” said Bishop Emeritus Paul S. Loverde. “Be sure to inform all my
brother Knights we will be praying for our country and its needs these days.”

“We are delighted to have this opportunity to make this
presentation, first to indicate our appreciation to our shepherds, and second,
to display our continued pride and thanks for the liberties we enjoy as
Americans,” said Knight Randy Bordelon, a parishioner of St. John the Beloved
Church in McLean.
