In celebration of May, the month of Mary, Good Shepherd Church in
Alexandria set up a rosary walk in a field on the church grounds.

The walk
features 20 photos mounted on A-frame stands showing stained-glass windows from
churches around the world depicting the joyful, sorrowful, glorious and
luminous mysteries of the rosary, as well as an introductory card. The photos
are by Dominican Father Lawrence Lew of England.

“The rosary walk gives our parishioners, even those who are not
yet comfortable coming back to Mass in person, a beautiful space to meditate on
and pray the rosary,” said Veronica McGraw, digital media specialist at Good
Shepherd.

She added that the cards are also an evangelization and can be
seen by anyone who drives by or walks past the church on the nearby trails.

McGraw said the parish’s Spanish-speaking Legion of Mary group
has been praying along the rosary walk on Saturday mornings and Father Jeb
Donelan, parochial vicar, has been leading the rosary in the field after some
of the Spanish-language Masses.
