House of Mercy in Manassas officially launched its Mobile Pantry Van, an initiative aimed at expanding food access to families in need.
The Feb. 19 event included a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a blessing by Deacon Paul Ochenkowski of St. Veronica Church in Chantilly, and a successful “Stuff the Van” food drive, bringing together donors, volunteers, and community leaders.
The Mobile Pantry Van was made possible through support from Cuisine Solutions Inc., with special thanks to President and CEO Felipe Hasselmann and Chief People and Diversity Officer Wede Gibson. Their sponsorship and event contributions, including providing insulated food bags, will help ensure fresh food reaches those who need it most.
Among the guests were Coles District Supervisor Yesli Vega and a representative from the office of Brentsville District Supervisor Tom Gordy. The van’s eye-catching wrap was designed by TradeWraps, whose representative was also in attendance.
House of Mercy officials extend gratitude to the donors, volunteers, and community members who contributed to this effort, calling it a significant step forward in the mission to combat food insecurity and serve families with dignity.
