September is National Senior Center Month and several events are planned at Arlington centers to help celebrate.
A health fair will be held Sept. 7 at Aurora Hills, 735 S. 18th St., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; a health and wellness fair will be held Sept. 22 at Walter Reed, 2909 S. 16th St., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; an open house will be held Sept. 23 at Culpepper Garden, 4435 N. Pershing Drive, from 2 to 4 p.m.; and a retirement information fair will be held Sept. 29 at Langston-Brown, 2121 N. Culpeper St., from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The public is invited to visit senior centers throughout the month, according to Cheryl Johnson, manager of the Arlington Office of Senior Adult Programs.
