Bishop Michael F. Burbidge will celebrate Mass for Respect Life Month at St. Joseph Church, Alexandria, Oct. 29 at 11 a.m.
Every October, the Catholic Church considers “more deeply why every human life is valuable” and reflects on how to “build a culture that protects life from conception to natural death,” according to the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops website.
This year, the focus is on St. Joseph, defender of life.
St. Joseph Church is a historically black Catholic parish that is open to all people of any racial group or nationality.
Josephite Father Donald M. Fest is the pastor.
