Holy Family Catholic School in Dale City hosted its fifth annual Cultural Awareness Celebration Oct. 24.

The evening opened with four students of Filipino, Ukrainian, Puerto Rican and Ghanaian heritage leading a prayer in their native languages.

With 25 countries represented, a parade of nations followed with individuals wearing beautiful, ornate outfits from various cultures. The evening featured dancing, music and international cuisines. More than 200 guests attended, and 90 percent of the school families participated.
