Volunteers at Our Lady of Hope Church in Potomac Falls gathered to stuff stockings on Veterans Day Nov. 11 to be sent to deployed service members and veterans. The “Be a Hero. Thank a Hero” event was made possible through the organization Soldiers’ Angels, whose motto is “May No Soldier Go Unloved.” More than 160 stockings were filled with candy, games and handmade Christmas cards to be distributed to troops.
