Marymount University in Arlington celebrates Ethics Awareness
Week Feb. 6-10 by honoring Sara Ganim, CNN correspondent and winner of the Pulitzer
Prize for her coverage of the Jerry Sandusky child sexual abuse scandal, with
the Marymount Ethics Award.
One of the youngest journalists to win the Pulitzer, Ganim is a
2008 aluma of Penn State. She joined CNN in 2012 after her award-winning coverage
of the Sandusky scandal for The Patriot News in
Harrisburg, Pa. In 2015, she won a Sigma Delta Chi award from the Society of
Professional Journalists for her reporting on an academic scandal involving
athletes at the University of North Carolina.
Professor Brian Doyle, director of Marymount’s Center for Ethical
Concerns, will interview Ganim in a forum called “Finding Ethics in the World
of Sports” at Marymount University, Reinsch Library, 2807 N. Glebe Rd.,
Arlington, Feb. 9 at 7:30 p.m.
