Bishop Michael F. Burbidge celebrated Mass at St. Agnes Church in Arlington Oct. 27 in honor of the parish school earning the 2022 National Blue Ribbon School.
The designation was announced Sept. 16 by U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona. St. Agnes was the only private school in Virginia to receive the designation, a repeat from their 2009 award. St. Agnes is a pre-K-8 school with an enrollment of approximately 450 students and 70 percent of its teachers have a postgraduate degree.
