Marymount University in Arlington ranks first for ethnic diversity among regional universities in the South, according to the 2016 edition of “Best Colleges” published by U.S. News & World Report. Marymount tied with University of North Carolina-Pembroke for the top spot.

Shank, Marymount U. president. “It’s all part of our ongoing commitment to creating a culture of engagement that fosters intellectual curiosity, service to others and a global perspective in our students.”
Overall, Marymount ranks 53rd out of the 618 “best regional universities in the South.”
