Father Daniel S. Reuwer is the new chaplain at Bishop O’Connell High School in Arlington. He served as parochial vicar of All Saints Catholic Church in Manassas for the past three years.
A graduate of Belmont Abbey College in Belmont, N.C., Father Reuwer discerned his vocation while teaching religion and social studies at St. William of York School in Stafford. He was ordained a diocesan priest by Bishop Michael F. Burbidge on June 4, 2022.
“My goal for our campus ministry is to show high school students the reality that no matter what we are doing or experiencing, God is there with us,” he said. “By making available the sacraments and teaching the depths of prayer, my hope is that they will come to know more deeply the love and presence of God in their lives, and will seek ever greater union with him.”
