The school community celebrated its patron St. John Paul II’s Oct. 22 feast day in style with an all-school retreat and visit from Bishop Emeritus Paul S. Loverde.
The day at Saint John Paul the Great Catholic High School in Potomac Shores began with Mass, celebrated by Bishop Loverde, and featuring a colorful backdrop modeled on the school chapel and painted by Bill O’Connor, fine arts department chair. The day ended with a Eucharistic procession, with lots of fun activities in between.
