Paul Hope, a drama teacher at Saint John Paul the Great Catholic High School in Potomac Shores, was awarded the Virginia Thespian High School Theatre Teacher of the Year Award Jan. 6.
Antonio Rene Gutierrez, a student at John Paul the Great, introduced Hope during the award ceremony.
The award is called “a beacon of recognition for educators who embody the transformative power of theatre.”
According to the website, “At the heart of this award lies a celebration of educators who ignite a lifelong passion for the arts, foster creativity and build the foundation for greatness. These visionary teachers are architects of inspiration, crafting vibrant classrooms where dreams are nurtured and talents bloom.”
