McLean-based Youth Apostles is accepting applications for a college scholarship to assist students in evangelization efforts on their campus.

The Michael Burke Sr. Memorial Scholarship awards $5,000 per year and  four award years are possible. The application deadline is March 15.

Burke was a devoted friend of Youth Apostles who believed in its mission to accompany young people as they grow in their relationship with Christ. The scholarship equips college students with the formation and support they need to design and carry out projects that invite their peers to encounter a deep and vibrant faith life.

Chris Pascoe, one of the current scholarship recipients, recalled hosting a recent Band of Brothers Stronghold Retreat.

“Thirty-seven people attended, not including several priests and six speakers,” he said. “I organized this retreat along with the peers in my men’s group, called a stronghold. I could not have done it without the help and support of this scholarship, which gave me the opportunity to share my faith and encourage others to live out their faith on a college campus.”
