Local elementary and middle school girls from the metro area, including several diocesan schools, participated in the annual cheerleading clinic at Ireton. They performed with cheerleaders from Bishop Ireton High School in Alexandria for the Oct. 28 varsity football game between Ireton and Paul VI Catholic High School in Fairfax. Ireton lost to Paul VI 17-7. The game was played in Alexandria.
