Knights of Columbus from Our Lady of Hope Church in Potomac Falls and Christ the Redeemer Church in Sterling hosted the annual Basketball Free Throw Championship at Our Lady of Hope School gym Jan. 16. Boys and girls ages 9-14 competed to see who could score the most free throws. Winners of each age group were presented with a certificate and a basketball with the Knights of Columbus logo, and will advance to regionals.

The free throw competition began in 1972 to promote healthy competition and sportsmanship in youths, and involve the Knights within their communities.
