In conjunction with the Diocesan Golden Jubilee celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Arlington diocese’s establishment, the Catholic Herald published a special anniversary issue.
Regular subscribers to the Herald will receive the commemorative issue in the mail on or around Aug. 13 — the 50th anniversary of the Mass when Bishop Thomas J. Welsh was installed as the first bishop of Arlington.
The 72-page glossy, magazine-style format includes a historical timeline; feature stories on church construction and various diocesan ministries; profiles of every parish and mission church; and crossword and children’s puzzles tailored to the Arlington diocese.
