Spotlight on the Arts Summer Camps is hosting several camps July 7-18 at Nativity Catholic Church in Burke and All Saints Catholic Church in Manassas. Theater camps include a Broadway Spotlight for grades 4-12 and a Drama Bootcamp for grades 1-9. “Fiddler on the Roof”
Nativity Players, the theater ministry at Nativity Catholic Church in Burke, will perform “Fiddler on the Roof” July 17-19 and 25-26. The play tells the story of Tevye and his family in the Jewish community of Anatevka in Tsarist Russia. nativityburke.org/nativity-players.
“Shrek the Musical”
Upper Room Theatre Ministry, located in Manassas, will perform “Shrek the Musical” July 15-20. The musical is based on the DreamWorks animated film and follows Shrek and other fairytale creatures on an adventure suitable for the whole family. “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers”
The Torch Players from TORCH Drama Club will perform “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers” June 20-22 and 27-29. The play takes place during the 1850s and follows Adam when he goes into town seeking a wife to run the household consisting of him and his six brothers. torchdramaclub.org/tickets.
“Anything Goes”
Summer Theatre Program, a ministry co-sponsored by St. Bernadette Church in Springfield and Bishop Ireton High School in Alexandria, will perform “Anything Goes” July 31-Aug. 2 at Ireton. The story follows a love triangle between three characters aboard the S.S. American with the added complications of others.
