Do you want to become a saint? Chances are that if you are reading a Catholic newspaper you do want to become a saint, or you are at least trying to develop a healthy relationship with God. What if I told you that there is a shortcut to heaven? What if I said that consecration to Mary is the safest, easiest, shortest and most perfect way to heaven? Would that interest you? Are you skeptical about a claim such as that? Well, don’t take my word; take the word of Louis de Montfort, whom the church declared to be a saint.
In his book, “True Devotion to Mary,” St. Louis de Montfort states that, by being consecrated to Mary, a person follows the safest, easiest, shortest, and most perfect way to heaven. He explains how to make a consecration to Mary by following a 33-day preparation period and how you should consecrate yourself to Mary on one of her feast days.
I made a consecration to Mary four years ago by beginning with a 33-day preparation on June 13 which finished on July 16, the feast day of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Since then, I have renewed my consecration each year and have recommended Marian consecration to my family and friends who also have consecrated themselves to Mary.
Now I make this recommendation to you. Since May is the month of Mary, consider reading “True Devotion to Mary” and taking the shortcut to heaven by making a consecration to Mary.
