Friends and supporters of Trinity House Café & Market in Leesburg gathered Oct. 19 to celebrate its 10th anniversary.

Founded in October 2014 to bring “a little taste of heaven” to the corner of Church and Market Streets, the café is an initiative of Trinity House Community and its mission is to inspire families to make home a taste of heaven. The café and Catholic gift shop serve more than 30,000 guests annually.

Soren Johnson, co-founder and co-director of Trinity House with his wife, Ever, reflected on a decade of memorable encounters and at least three marriages that trace their roots to meeting at the café.

Father Kevin Larsen, pastor of St. John the Apostle Church in Leesburg, paid his tributes at another anniversary gathering earlier this month.

“Bringing the faith into the home and helping parents and families to do that by word and example, this is at the heart of Trinity House Community,” he said. “This is a wonderful legacy that is being created and handed on, and I’m so grateful for all those who have been a part of it.”
