While fewer bills crossed the finish line than in recent years, Catholic advocacy produced favorable results on a greater number of issues, according to the Virginia Catholic Conference’s 2022 vote report published April 25.

The VCC helped defeat bills to legalize assisted suicide and restore the death penalty, and applauded the enactment of a new law that requires parental notification before sexually explicit material is presented in public schools.
