World Series fever has swept the region after the Washington Nationals defeated the Houston Astros 6-2 in game seven of the 2019 World Series. The decisive game was played Oct. 30 at Minute Maid Park in Houston. Pitcher Stephen Strasburg was named most valuable player of the series. Thousands of fans are expected to attend the victory parade Nov. 2 in Washington.
