This Catholic Press Month, we’re taking you behind the scenes to the printing of the Catholic Herald.

Every other Tuesday, the staff electronically sends the issue’s pages to Frederick News Post Printing and Publishing in Frederick, Md. That evening and the following morning, over the course of several hours, reams of paper, gallons of black, yellow, cyan and magenta ink and a printing press three stories high produce the Catholic Herald.

Typically, that issue arrives in the mailboxes of Catholics around the Arlington diocese Thursday, and to diocesan churches and schools among other locations.
