Paul “Korky” Korkemaz of Dunn Loring has been appointed to the National Board of Directors of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, where he will serve as National Vice President of the Mid-Atlantic Region.
Korkemaz became a Vincentian at Our Lady of Good Counsel’s SVdP Conference in Vienna in August 2015. He became a Helpline Team leader for the conference in 2017, and in 2018, he was elected the conference’s vice president. Korkemaz became Diocesan Council President for SVdP Arlington in October 2020. He served as the Vincentian representative on Bishop Michael F. Burbidge’s Strategic Plan Charitable Works Pillar Group last year.
