If we tried to increase our prayer life during Lent, we should double our efforts now. If we tried to face the world's injustice during Lent, we should turn there more deeply now.

I had this mental image of life as a book, each decade its own chapter and the story unfolding with time. But who is writing the story? There is a tension between acknowledging God as author and also recognizing that we own our stories.

I miss my mom every day, so I know how Mother’s Day can be a sensitive time for many people who have lost their own mothers.

During the month of May, we thank God for our mothers and all we have received from them.
