Attempts to evangelize online are not wrong, but the venue is not ideal.

Stephen Hawking was a brilliant and influential physicist responsible for, among other things, the conclusion that black holes emit energy that we now call "Hawking radiation."

The reaction to the video of this encounter has been quite positive. Surprisingly, however, there has been a strong minority who felt this was more evidence that the pope was not up to snuff when it comes to doling out doctrine.

So many of our readers commented on how touching was the video of Pope Francis hugging and consoling a young boy in the suburbs of Rome.
Emanuele was chosen as one of a few children in the struggling neighborhood to ask a question of the pope. When it was his turn, he couldn’t make the ask. He tried, but even after one of the priests encouraged him, he just couldn’t do it and began to cry.





More than 100 students gathered recently in Rome to use their talents in the first-ever Vatican Hackathon, a collaborative event that harnessed the technical skills and creativity of young people to address issues of social inclusion, interfaith dialogue and assistance for migrants and refugees.
