    Assistant Director for Education and Outreach

    The Assistant Director for Education and Outreach, advances the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops mission and the bishops’ priorities and plans by helping manage internal and external relationships and communicating the teaching and policies of the bishops on  international and domestic issues of peace and justice, including statements, letters, action alerts,  campaigns, so that these efforts are accessible to diocesan and parish leaders and emerging leaders and other Catholic organizations. The Assistant Director for Education & Outreach also has lead responsibility for the Department’s efforts to communicate the bishops’ teaching on social mission and their guidance on issues, parish social ministry, Catholic Campaign for


    Human Development and concerns about poverty to youth and young adults and those who minister to them. Theology, Public Policy Master’s degree desirable. 5 years of experience in diocesan or parish social ministry or youth/young adult ministry or campus ministry needed. Experience as an educator or trainer helpful. Spanish desirable.
