    Coordinator for Children's Faith Formation (Pre-K to 8th Grade

    Our Lady of Good Counsel is seeking a Coordinator for Children's Faith Formation (Pre-K to 8th Grade) to work with the youth of our parish in their faith formation and sacramental preparation and celebration (1st Reconciliation, 1st Communion, and Confirmation). Duties and responsibilities to include modeling discipleship to Christ and leading others to Him, recruitment and formation of catechists, organizing classes and lesson plans, assisting with any needs during faith formation sessions, fostering the faith of the youth and their parents, connecting families to the parish as a whole, and providing outreach opportunities. The Coordinator reports to the Director of Faith Formation and collaboratively works with the Parish staff. This is a full time position which will include evening and weekend hours.

    Qualifications and Skills:
    • Practicing Roman Catholic
    • Bachelor's Degree in Religious Education, Theology, or Pastoral Studies
    • Two years' experience in Parish Catechetical ministry preferred
    • Full proficiency in spoken and written English (in addition, Spanish is a plus, but not a requirement)
    • Detail oriented and able to see the big picture of the ministry
    • Great interpersonal skills
    • Good multitasking and organizational ability
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Parish Database Systems (PDS) experience preferred
    • Spirit of prayer and collaboration
