    Director of Finance

    Bishop Ireton High School has an immediate opening for an experienced Director of Finance to oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, reporting, internal controls, and policies and procedures for the school. This position manages the accounts receivable, payable, and payroll administration functions and the respective staff. The DOF reports directly to the Head of School and is a member of the senior administrative team. The DOF is an ex officio member of both the finance committee of the Board of Governors and the financial aid committee.

    BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, or related field required; MBA or CPA preferred. Must have at least five years of financial management experience, including the development of financial statements as well as operating and capital budgets. Minimum of four years of supervisory experience required. Non-profit accounting background, particularly in an educational setting, is a plus, as is bookkeeping experience during a significant building project and capital campaign. Must have a thorough understanding of GAAP. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel required as well as previous experience with QuickBooks. Must be an organized, detail-oriented, self-starter with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and problem-solve. Must have a good command of the English language, both oral and written, as well as strong interpersonal skills with a customer service orientation. Strong knowledge and appreciation of the culture and business operations of the Catholic Church a must.
