Irish tenor Anthony Kearns to perform benefit concert

Anthony Kearns of the trio The Irish Tenors will perform a benefit concert at the Hylton Memorial Chapel in Woodbridge Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. Proceeds from the evening will support CrossLink International and three Prince William County clinics.

CrossLink, a Falls Church-based medical nonprofit, has sent more than $43.6 million in aid to 115 countries in support of 3,207 projects, including supplying 18 free local clinics. Three of those clinics are joint benefactors of the concert: Prince William Area Free Clinic, Family Health Connection of Potomac Hospital and the Greater Prince William Community Health Center.

Kearns, known as Ireland's finest lyric tenor, has performed with the National Symphony Orchestra at Carnegie Hall and at Madison Square Garden. Drawing from the music, culture and history of his homeland, his repertoire includes traditional Irish music, opera, sacred music and the occasional Irish ditty.
