The morning of Aug. 29 shown brightly with the morning sun and happy smiles of students as they strode to the open doors of St. Leo the Great School in Fairfax. Students greeted former teachers and reconnected with old classmates they hadn’t seen since June. Kindergartners gathered together in groups outside the school and were the last group to go in. The tiny students waited with both excitement and anticipation as they finally marched single file into the school for their very first day at St. Leo the Great.
