Annual LARCUM Conference to be held in Richmond

The 2017 Virginia LARCUM Conference will be held Dec. 1-2 at
various Christian churches in the Richmond area, including St. Bridget Catholic
Church, 6066 Three Chopt Rd., Richmond.

LARCUM is a statewide ecumenical group of Lutherans, Anglicans,
Roman Catholics and United Methodists.

This year’s keynote speaker will be Sister of Charity Susan K.
Wood, who is professor of systematic theology in the Department of Theology at
Marquette University. She is currently president of the Catholic Theological
Society of America.

The conference theme is “500 Years Later: Ecumenical Dialogue as
Gift and Call.” The opening session Dec. 1 will be held at St. Stephen’s
Episcopal Church, 6000 Grove Ave., Richmond.

Arlington Bishop Michael F. Burbidge will be among the Virginia
LARCUM bishops attending the two-day event.
