Benefit concert honors life of musical teen

First slide

An online benefit concert hosted by Bishop O’Connell High School in Arlington, honoring the life of Andriko Bilaniuk, a rising junior and talented violinist who died of cancer July 12, will be held March 26, beginning 1 p.m.

Proceeds from the concert will go toward a memorial scholarship that will be awarded annually to a sophomore with a passion for philosophy and music.

The two-part concert will include videos of current and former O’Connell students, selections from world-renowned orchestras and performances from internationally renowned soloists. The second part will feature a live performance of Bach’s cello suites on viola by Timothy LaCrosse, director of strings at O’Connell.
