Bishop Michael F. Burbidge led a holy hour for relief from anxiety and stress at the Cathedral of St. Thomas More in Arlington Sept. 10. The evening event focused on Eucharistic adoration, with live music by Kenny Kohlhaas and Marie Miller.

About  120 in-person participants quietly prayed in the dark cathedral, where clouds of incense wafted around the altar. More than 2,300 viewers watched via livestream.

“When we try to face the pressures and demands of this earthly journey alone, relying on our own resources, we will always be anxious and distressed,” said Bishop Burbidge. “But yoked to the Lord, to his healing love and saving power, we will always know the serenity and peace for which we long.”
