The bishops of U.S. Region IV — the District of Columbia, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, U.S. Virgin Islands, West Virginia and the Archdiocese for the Military Services — traveled to Rome to meet with Pope Francis for the ad limina visit Dec. 2 -6. Their trip included visits to all four major basilicas in Rome: St. Peter’s, St. Paul Outside the Walls, St. Mary Major and St. John Lateran.
