The faithful joined Bishop Michael F. Burbidge to commemorate the Solemnity of All Saints at the Cathedral of St. Thomas More at the 12:05 p.m. Mass Nov. 1.

In his homily, Bishop Burbidge shared that All Saints Day reminds us that we are called to grow in holiness and to become saints.

“Sometimes we get paralyzed on that path to holiness because we become so aware of our sins and our weaknesses and our failures. Yes, we are sinners, but so were the saints. They relied on his mercy,” Bishop Burbidge said. “Remember this: We cannot become holy unless it’s through God’s grace and our cooperation with him.”

He concluded praying with the faithful that, through the gift of the Holy Eucharist and the intercession of all the saints in heaven, we one day make it to heaven with God our Heavenly Father.
