Freezing for a cause

Grand Knight John White of the Edward Douglass White Knights of Columbus Council in Arlington, and his daughter, Alison, will take the Polar Plunge for Special Olympics in Virginia Beach Feb. 3 at 2 p.m. The parishioners of St. Agnes Church in Arlington will be among the many “plungers” helping to raise money for year-round sports training, competition, leadership opportunities and health services to more than 21,000 athletes.

The plunge in Virginia Beach will be held at Hilton Oceanfront Hotel, 3001 Atlantic Ave. Another plunge will be held Feb. 24 at Tim's Rivershore Restaurant & Crabhouse, 1510 Cherry Hill Rd., Dumfries.
