The 13th annual George Mason University back-to-school luau hosted by Catholic Campus Ministry drew a crowd of more than 1,750 freshman and new students for food, games and dancing at the St. Robert Bellarmine Chapel in Fairfax Aug. 24.
The luau gives campus ministry a chance to introduce new students to what they have to offer at the school, including Bible studies.
Father James R. Searby, chaplain, said he is “thrilled, thankful and full of hope” that so many students are excited about participating in Campus Ministry this year.
