Water fell from the sky and splashed onto the vegetables in
the St. Veronica Food and Faith organic garden. But it wasn’t
raining. On June 5, Father Dennis W. Kleinmann, pastor, took
a moment between Masses to sprinkle holy water on the
recently planted leafy green sprouts.
The garden is maintained by15 members of the Food and Faith
Ministry, with help from the entire parish. Once fully grown,
the tomatoes, peppers, green and yellow squash, carrots,
beans and peas will be donated to those in need via the St.
Lucy Project, the St. Vincent dePaul food pantry at St.
Timothy Church in Chantilly and St. Dominic’s Monastery in
Linden.
