Just as the soon-to-be-sainted Franciscan priest walked
hundreds of miles to share the Gospel, so many seminarians
and novices traveled great distances to the canonization Mass
of Junípero Serra at the Basilica of the National
Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington Sept. 23.

“It is such an overwhelming blessing, a great privilege to be
there today,” said Sister Peter Catherine, a Dominican Sister
of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist.
