Porto Charities supports expanded services at O’Connell

Bishop O’Connell High School in Arlington received a
contribution of $20,000 from Porto Charities Oct. 27 to
support its new program of expanded services for students
with intellectual disabilities.

“We are extremely grateful for the support of Porto
Charities,” said Head of School Joseph Vorbach. “This grant
helps us build a strong instructional and programmatic
foundation to better serve our community both today and in
the future.”

Porto Charities is dedicated to assisting people with
developmental or intellectual disabilities through
fundraising, resources, assistance and education.

“Our goal is to ensure that every student in the diocese can
have access to a quality Catholic education,” said Bill
Dalgetty of Porto Charities. “In the end, everyone involved
in these services benefits in ways that can’t be measured.”
