Marchers from Northern Virginia join smaller-than-usual March for Life

Special To The Catholic Herald

Marchers from the Arlington Diocese participated in a smaller-than-usual March for Life in Washington, D.C., Jan. 29. The 48th annual march was turned into a mostly virtual event this year, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Among those participating from the Arlington Diocese were March for Life President Jeanne Mancini and her husband David, who live in Northern Virginia, and Thérèse Bermpohl, director of the diocesan Office of Marriage, Family, and Respect Life.

The march usually attracts crowds from across the nation to mark the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion nationwide.
