School counselor Caroline Stackhouse Weiner dies

Caroline Stackhouse Weiner, the school counselor at St.
Bernadette School in Springfield, died unexpectedly at her
home in Alexandria Feb. 4. She was 32 years old and wife to
Justin Matthew Weiner and the mother of sons Brock, 5 and
Cullen, 2; and 3-week-old daughter Caroline.

She also is survived by her parents, Peter and Carol
Stackhouse; brothers, Chad, John “Jed” and Graham Stackhouse;
sisters, Claire Bartick, Anne Colby, Eli zabeth “Liddy” and
Mary Tyler Stackhouse.

In a letter to parents, Principal Michael Kelleher wrote,
“(Weiner) worked tirelessly to listen, advocate and support
the children in our school. She loved our school, our
students and our team of teachers.”

There was a viewing Feb. 10 at Everly-Wheatley Funeral Home.
The funeral Mass was offered Feb. 11 at Blessed Sacrament
Church in Alexandria at 11 a.m. with interment at Ivy Hill
Cemetery in Alexandria.
