In a time when schools struggle to support the arts, St. Theresa
School in Ashburn joined together with diocesan schools and churches to create,
“Salute to Andrew Lloyd Webber.” Art and faith converge in this special
production that features iconic selections from “Cats,” “Evita,” “Phantom of
the Opera” and “Jesus Christ Superstar.”
Director and music teacher Ana Quijano and guest conductor Naj
Quereshi created a show with performers and musicians from Our Lady of Hope in Potomac
Falls, Saint John Paul the Great Catholic High School in Potomac Shores, St.
Michael the Archangel Catholic High School in Fredericksburg and St. Paul VI
Catholic High School in Fairfax supported by the Ashburn Youth Symphony
Orchestra. Special guest performers include St. Theresa alumni and St. Theresa
Church pastor, Father Richard M. Guest.
“Our school and parish are excited for this extraordinary event
that will bring performers from across the area together to honor the arts,”
said Principal Erin O’Malley.
Fleetwood is an eighth grader at St. Theresa School in
